Idavang strong EBITDA for 2016 provides a solid foundation for growth

Idavang's strong EBITDA for 2016 provides a solid foundation for growth

With an EBITDA in 2016 of 26 mEUR – a 28% rise since 2015 – Danish Idavang finds that the company is now competing at a higher, international level.

Danish Idavang is a leader in pork production in Lithuania, and one of the largest actors on the Russian market. Operating profits have increased in 2016, as EBITDA rose by 28%, and with stabilized purchasing power in Russia and greatly improved prices in the European market, Vice Chairman Jytte Rosenmaj declares herself very satisfied with the situation:

”We have stable growth and a super cash flow. We are now in the international top of our industry.”

At this point Idavang has many options for further development.

”We can choose to scale by increasing our capacity, consolidating in the industry or moving closer towards the consumer in the value chain. At the same time, we find that the organization has an appetite for growth”, says Jytte Rosenmaj.

”Rising prices, driven by increasing Asian demand, suggests that we can expect an even better result for 2017”, says Jytte Rosenmaj confidently.
